Grandma Ethel Jaffee's Yeast Cake
I recently renewed acquainances with my favorite high school English teacher, Arthur Traiger, and sent a copy of "Cooking Jewish" to him and his wife, Dorothy. They sent this photo after baking Grandma Ethel Jaffee's Yeast Cake, saying that it was almost like the one Arthur's grandmother used to make. Another memory restored! Thanks Dorothy and Arthur!
